I kinda don’t want to type anything…I just want to post this picture!

I’ve been waiting for this moment for sooo long!  And it’s finally here!  I’m not sure what else to say, but “I now weigh less than 200 pounds.”

Today’s Weight: 199.7
Weight Lost This Week: 1.5 pounds
Total Weight Loss This Year: 68 pounds
Total Weight Loss: 77 pounds

Weight Loss Wednesday: August 15, 2018

Oh My Word!!! I am soooo close to ONEderland!  So. Stinkin’. Close!!!  I have a feeling I’ll be weighing daily til I hit the mark!  Seriously…  It has been so long since I’ve weighed under 200 pounds and I’m so close I can almost taste it.

Speaking of tasting…I’m not sure if I mentioned that I’m doing Weight Watchers again.  I joined a few months ago, but wasn’t really tracking my food consistently.  I have a group of friends who are doing Weight Watchers online as well.  Last month, they decided to do a Blue Dot Challenge.  This is a challenge where you stay within your points total every day and get a blue dot.  We each decided to send $10 to the person who had the most blue dots for the month.  I didn’t really track in July, but I decided that this month I was going to win the challenge.  I’ve had blue dots almost every day. I think that could also be helping contribute to the weight loss.

I’m also on week 3 of Couch to 5K.  I’m continuing to make good progress and am amazed every time I run.  I’m still slow, but I’m not nearly as out of breath as I was when I started. 🙂

 

 And now…the moment you’ve all been waiting for…my weight for this week!  I weighed in today at 201.2.

Last Week’s Weight: 203.6
Today’s Weight: 201.2 
Weight Lost This Week: 2.4 pounds
Total Weight Loss: 66.5 pounds  this year (75.8 pounds since my highest weight)

Weight Loss Wednesday: August 8, 2018

Happy Wednesday my friends! Today is my oldest daughter’s birthday.  She is turning 23.  It’s so fun watching your kids becoming who they’re meant to be!  And speaking of becoming who you’re meant to be, I feel like 42 is shaping up to be my year! I have so many goals I’m hoping to accomplish this year and I feel like the plans I’m making will move me to where I need to be.  And all this weight loss is definitely helping.  Even though there are many weeks where the weight loss is slow, I keep reminding myself that slow and steady wins the race.

So I had a great week of weight loss this week!  I got my hair all chopped off this week and I wish I knew what my hair weighed.  I wonder if that’s part of the difference.  Speaking of differences, I posted this picture on my Instagram this past week.  You can totally see the difference my weight loss has made.

The first picture was taken in January.  I had great hair, a great outfit, and great boots.  I looked great! But I wasn’t happy with the way I felt.  Now I love the way I feel.  While I still have weight to lose, I feel really good!  I’ve been enjoying Couch to 5K and am amazed at what my body can do.

Now…back to my amazing weight loss.  While cutting my hair off may have had some effect on my weightloss,  I lost enough weight to know it’s not just my hair. 🙂  This week I’m down 5.2 pounds!  Isn’t that awesome!?!  I’m soooo close to breaking that 200 pound mark.

If I can just keep it up, I’ll break 200 before the end of August!  If I have another big loss, I might even hit it in the next week!!!

Weight Loss Wednesday:  August 1, 2018

Happy Wednesday! What a crazy week we’ve had! Our air conditioner died Monday night at the house and since it was over 110 outside and over 90 inside, we spent the last 2 nights at a hotel.   To make things even crazier, one of my kiddos went back to school today.  Instead of making a special breakfast and a fun lunch, we ate breakfast at the hotel buffet and created a lunch of things from the hotel buffet and the local Target. It’s been random to say the least.  All the kiddos were such good sports about the whole thing…especially my daughter Shayna who started school today.  The other 2 kiddos don’t go back til next week.  Oh, the joys of having 3 kids at 3 different schools.

On a positive note, I still managed to get a few good runs in. 🙂  It’s amazing how much I’m enjoying this program. And if you’re wondering what I’m doing, I’m not throwing gang signs in the picture…I’m telling you that I just finished week 2, day 1 of Couch to 5K…and showing off my amazing nails at the same time.  I’m not sure exactly what’s going on with my tank top either, but let’s pretend it looks cuter than it actually does and let’s focus on my fabulous reversible workout pants!  Even though I’m not much of a runner, wearing these pants makes me feel like a boss.  And they’re soooo cute, right?!?

I thought I’d have a decent weight loss week since my eating has been pretty good and I’ve been doing Couch to 5K, but it wasn’t quite as high as I’d like! But it’s a still a loss…and for that I am very grateful!

Weight Lost This Week: 1.2 pounds
Total Weight Loss: 58.9 pounds  (69.2 total)

Weight Loss Wednesday:  July 25, 2018

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week has been good. Mine has been crazy busy, but really good. Our kids are heading back to school soon and 2 of them are going to different schools than they went to last year which means paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. Plus a bunch of meetings and interviews. I think there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel! Only a few more meetings and a few more pieces of paperwork and we’ll be good to go.

I started running again this week and the scale seems to like it. 🙂 I’m doing the Couch to 5K program.  The picture above is Week 1, Day 1.   I’ve done this before and really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect way to go from non-runner to runner in just about 8 weeks. I’ve done this a couple times before and it’s always been super helpful. Sometimes, I repeat a week or two til I’m ready to move forward. The cool thing is that I’m able to make progress and I’m feeling good about myself.

 

Apparently the scale likes my running too.  When I weighed in this morning, I weighed 210.2.  If I keep this up, I’ll be under 200 pounds sooner than the end of August! 🙂  I’m thinking I should go get a pedicure so that when I finally weigh under 200 pounds, you can see beautiful toes instead of toes that have seen better days! 🙂   I’ve totally enjoyed my first 2 Couch to 5k runs, but I need to find a good stretching or yoga program to incorporate into it.  My hamstrings are super tight!!  If you have a stretching or yoga program you love, leave me a comment….especially if it’s geared to people who are completely and totally inflexible…as this would best describe me!  I can’t even touch my toes without bending my legs.
