My Latest Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box

My Latest Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box

While I know most people complain about trying on bathing suits, one of the hardest things for me to find is a good pair of jeans.  That’s one of the reasons that Stitch Fix has been so awesome for me.  I’ve gotten a new pair of jeans in each of my “Fixes” and I’ve loved each one of them.  I’ve been working hard at losing weight, so it’s worked out well that by the time my next “fix” comes around, I’m ready for a smaller size of jeans.  Here’s what arrived in my latest Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box.  I’d love your feedback on what I should keep and what I should send back.

Here are my thoughts on this box…stylistically, I like everything that came in the box.  I was thrilled to get another pair of jeans in my box.  While they’re not as distressed as the jeans I usually go for, they fit well and I like them.  I think I’m going to keep them.  Next up is the navy floral tank.  I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this tank.  It fit well and I liked the style.  I’m on the fence about keeping this.  I tried the hot pink layered tank next.  I feel like it’s too big (and yes, my bra choice with this isn’t a good one, but I didn’t feel like changing) and not the most flattering.  Next up is the denim jacket. My old jean jacket is now too big so I asked my stylist to send me a denim jacket.  I like the one she sent, but it’s too big as well.  I also think that a cropped style jacket is more flattering for my figure.  I’m not going to keep the jacket. Last but not least is the black maxi dress.  I like maxi dresses as they’re easy to throw on and make you look like you’re put together even on days when you’re not.  They also hide a multitude of sins (like unshaven legs).  I definitely like this dress, but I’m not sure about the length.  I feel like it may be a little short.

So…that’s my latest Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box!  What should I keep and what should I send back?  Leave me a comment and let me know!

If you’ve never tried Stitch Fix, here’s how it works.  You sign up and then fill out a questionnaire about your sizes, your style preferences and more.  They even ask you how much you like to spend on various pieces of clothing so they can send you a box that fits your budget. Then you choose how frequently you want to receive your style fixes.  Once you’ve done all that, schedule the date you want your fix to arrive and sit back and wait.  Your personal stylist will take into account your likes and dislikes and will get your box ready to go.  Then once your box arrives, you’ll have 3 days to decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back.  There is a $20 styling fee, but when you decide to keep an item in your box, your $20 styling fee is applied to that purchase.  If you decide to keep everything in your box, they offer you 25% off your entire purchase.  If there are items in your box that you want to send back, simply use the prepaid envelope to ship them back.  It’s easy peasy!

Stitch Fix Plus Size Review

Stitch Fix Plus Size Review

I have been in love with the idea of Stitch Fix since I first heard about it, but like all things when you’re plus size, you wonder if they’ll have anything that will fit and look good! When Stitch Fix decided to waive their January styling fee, I decided it was the perfect time to try Stitch Fix risk free.  Here is my honest Stitch Fix Plus Size Review.

Signing up for Stitch Fix was super easy.  I answered the questionnaire and wondered if my stylist would be able to find anything cute for me.  The things I like are all over the map.  My style sense doesn’t fall neatly into one category.  I’m not preppy or boho, so I figured it would be hard for someone who doesn’t know me to pick clothes I would like.  I also have a hard time finding things that fit well, so I worried about that as well.

All of my worries were in vain.  My stylist hit the ball out of the park with my first box.  For starters, she sent an amazing pair of Kut from the Kloth jeans.  They fit like a dream!  Seriously!  They are a Stitch Fix exclusive which means you can’t get them other places.  If you’re like me and have spent hours in fitting rooms trying on jeans in hopes of finding a pair that fit well and are comfortable, you know that to have a pair arrive on your door step and fit well is a serious dream come true.  It felt more like a miracle!

I told my stylist that I liked polka dots and she sent this fabulous navy and white polka dot top.  I typically wear black and white polka dots, so the navy was a nice change.  I almost dismissed it as I didn’t have anything to wear with it since most of my cardigans are black.  The next thing I pulled out of the bag was this fabulous navy cardigan to go with it.  {Seriously…how awesome to get a full outfit in a box? And I’m not even done showing you everything I got!}

The next thing I pulled out of the box was a cold shoulder top with grommets.  It was a little more industrial than I would typically wear, but I thought I’d try it anyway.  To my surprise, it was quite cute.

The last thing I pulled out of the box was a floral kimono.  To be honest, I almost didn’t try it on since the colors tend to be colors that clash with my hair.  {This is not something you have to worry about with normal colored hair, but is a surprising normal occurrence with my hair.}  I tried it on anyway.  I loved the way it fit and flowed, but I’m still not convinced the color is right with my hair.  But I’m also not sure how long my hair will be pink, purple, blue and green, so maybe in another month or two it will look fabulous!!!

I’m over the moon about my first Stitch Fix Plus Size box and will definitely be using Stitch Fix again in the future!

So what are your thoughts on my first Stitch Fix box? What would you keep?
