Getting Back to Comfortable…

I’ve discovered something interesting about myself over the last few months.  There are sizes that I’m thrilled to be in, sizes that I feel comfortable in, and sizes where I hate to even think about the way I look.  When I get to the “hate to even think about the way I look” stage, I tend to avoid photos.  {I’m currently in this stage}

Last year, after lots of hard work and discipline, I looked like this.

This year, I look like this…and this is after losing 20 pounds.

As you can see, I weigh a ton more in this picture.  While I’m tempted to hide this picture, I’m not going to.  It is what it is.

For the record, after getting home from that weekend, I decided to get super strict about my eating and exercising.  I’ve been gluten-free and sugar-free for 13 days and I’ve been exercising 4-5 days every week since I’ve been home!  I’m thrilled to report that I’ve lost 11.2 pounds since being home….which puts me less than 5 pounds away from my first 36 pound goal.

I also found out over the weekend that my brother is getting married in 11 weeks so I really need to step up my game! :) I’ll definitely keep you posted.  I’m hoping that I’ll have amazing results over the next 11 weeks and that by the first weekend in January, I’ll be able to post a picture of me in my wedding finery alongside my picture from October 4 and see a complete transformation.

In the meantime, I’ve decided that I WILL NOT let the way I feel about the way I look keep me from making an effort to look cute every single day.

So those are my goals for the next 11 weeks…  What are yours?
