Today is James’ and Shayna’s birthday and they’re now 12. We celebrated last night with pizookie at BJs. If you’ve never had their Pizookie, you’re missing out. It’s a delicious cookie that’s baked in a skillet and topped with ice cream. They have some seriously amazing flavors…like Salted Caramel! YUMMMMM! Anyway, we usually let the kids choose where they want to go out for their birthday. We have some things on our agenda tonight, so we opted for going out last night instead. The kids wanted to eat at Olive Garden for dinner and BJs for dessert. I ate more breadsticks than I wanted to and was sure that with the addition of the pizookie, I’d have a gain today. I was pleasantly surprised to step on the scale this morning and have a loss…and it wasn’t a small loss either!
I lost 2.6 pounds last week!!! That’s pretty darn exciting.
I’ve also been eating more junk the last few days than what I normally eat. My husband has decided to go back into selling real estate. We both sold real estate in the past, but since he was taking the classes, I thought I’d join him. The classes are from 8-5:30 every day. We have to leave early in the morning to get the twins dropped off at Before Care at school and it’s nearly 6 by the time we pick them up at night. And the classes are long and somewhat tedious. Some teachers are WAY better than others and make things interesting. Some teachers bore you to tears. It’s during those sessions that I find myself munching on junk to stay awake. I really need to figure out how to manage this since I’ve got another week and a half of classes in front of me.
