Happy Wednesday! Hope your week has been good. Mine has been crazy busy, but really good. Our kids are heading back to school soon and 2 of them are going to different schools than they went to last year which means paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. Plus a bunch of meetings and interviews. I think there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel! Only a few more meetings and a few more pieces of paperwork and we’ll be good to go.
I started running again this week and the scale seems to like it. 🙂 I’m doing the Couch to 5K program. The picture above is Week 1, Day 1. I’ve done this before and really enjoyed it. It’s the perfect way to go from non-runner to runner in just about 8 weeks. I’ve done this a couple times before and it’s always been super helpful. Sometimes, I repeat a week or two til I’m ready to move forward. The cool thing is that I’m able to make progress and I’m feeling good about myself.
Apparently the scale likes my running too. When I weighed in this morning, I weighed 210.2. If I keep this up, I’ll be under 200 pounds sooner than the end of August! 🙂 I’m thinking I should go get a pedicure so that when I finally weigh under 200 pounds, you can see beautiful toes instead of toes that have seen better days! 🙂 I’ve totally enjoyed my first 2 Couch to 5k runs, but I need to find a good stretching or yoga program to incorporate into it. My hamstrings are super tight!! If you have a stretching or yoga program you love, leave me a comment….especially if it’s geared to people who are completely and totally inflexible…as this would best describe me! I can’t even touch my toes without bending my legs.
